Everyday is always a bad hair day for me
Mine is very curly, they told me it's kinky
I have a hard time combing my hair, you see
Have to visit my hairdresser to fix it for me
It was very shiny, as straight as can be
It was always like these since I was a little lady
Now, I am used to see this everyday
Ummm, I don't see what happened to me
Getting up early in the morning is not that easy
I have to have a ribbon to hold it, the neighbors might see
Never mind If they laugh at me and call me crazy…

Grandpa always wanted me to play an instrument;
bought me a shiny new guitar
said I would be the life of the party
one day,
but I packed it away in the case,
music in my eyes,
and picked up a pen-
found a place my tears could hide
falling softly upon petals,
wildflowers growing around me
blooming between syllables.
I was never afraid of the rain
caressing my face;
wind carrying my whispers-
these clandestine wishes
as kisses upon constellations.
Still a dreamer,
I blew dandelions ever…

I suddenly woke up feeling cold and empty,
Realizing pain, overflowing thought so lonely.
Though crying can never be consider as a cure,
Living in light won’t happen I assure.
Days filled with sorrow, months passed with agony,
Dreadful symphony, never been peacefully.
Shadows from the past still haunts me day-by-day.
Living in the dark and shame as they say.
Where am I? Have I gone sick? Have I gone crazy?
Asking to myself, making me a little hazy.
Running so fast in the streets of nowhere,
Dr…

Como son usted, my dear friend,
Afraid that the last chat we had will be the end.
I rarely hear anything from you since then,
Maybe you thought that I almost got you forgotten.
I miss those times we see each other,
Even from a distant, it doesn’t really matter
I miss those times we used to laugh,
For those things even a little crap.
I miss all those moments that we’ve been together,
It’s such a great time which makes our bonds go stronger.
I miss your genuine support and care,
Along with those…

I've been doing 100 days of twitter-poems on my poetry blog, since December first. It's a great way to keep my creativity flowing, and my mind on poetic possibilities, while disciplining myself to write creatively every day.
We had some news this week that shook my family, and challenged our faith. My new sister-in-law, Julie, is pregnant with my baby brother's first child. She learned Thursday that she has a tumor that will require surgery to remove part of her jaw and many of her teeth. They…

Day 7
Rain coating sidewalk in mist
Aspire to greatness?
Pull your atoms together!
With effort you could be snow.

Darkest Shadows
Shadows upon the wall,
In
The
Night,
Aubergine, in color
Are pasted against a sky of cerulean blue…
A spirit is lost within a hypnotic state-
Almost ghost-like:
Can you see it dancing with snowflakes
Within an arctic breeze
Blatantly contrasting,
White against blue, mauve within the
Twilight?
Shadows upon the
Ceiling,
Early in the morning,
Cast by the sun
Through Venetian blinds-
The sky this morning, a deep
Cobalt blue,
A soul shall never be found,
Lost behind high cumulus cl…

My skin is nothing but a map of scars
My heart is only beating because
The tears I shed burn my eyes
My lips are tight against my face
in a frown that has no place
Smiles are just masking the stuff
that's really going on
and lasts till the night meets
the dawn
I lie awake at night continously
asking myself why
Why would I not want to succumb
to the inevititable peace and
harmony
To be free of life of wrong turns
down twisted paths of
temerity

This is poem I wrote in 2006. The story behind this, I was a mistress to a man for almost five years. Actually most of my poetry came from this heart break when he broke it off with me. You see when I first him he was divorced and single as I thought. Three months into our relationship I found he had another girlfriend in Calgary. I should have broken it off then but I didn't. Oh, I tried to break it off but he would say wait, her and I are mostly likely going to be breaking up. Well six months…

We were in a world;
The world pushed us
into another world.
With river of tears,
We reached the other world,
But we saw trees, stars, mountain ...
We saw different faces.
Then, we heave a sigh of joy.
A sigh saying:
This is a wonderful world.
We thought,
We have reached our world.
We thought,
We have reached our destination.
We embraced her glory.
Alas, her glory is sinking us.
The world has unveiled her paths:
A path of transient bliss
And a path of lasting bliss;
A path to a perfect world.
Wh…

LIFE A DIAMOND,
STYLE A CODE,
NATIONALITY AN ORIGIN,
WITH THE LIFE WE BORE.
MOVE WITH LEAPS AND BOUNDS
THE PERSON WITH THE POSITIVE ATTITUDE,
WILL NEVER TOUCH THE GROUND.
TIME WAITS FOR NONE
LIFE GOES ON
WITH LOVE AND FUN.
HARDWORK IS THE KEY
THE KEY TO SUCCESS
WORK HARD,
TO BE PROBLEM FREE.
THUS,
THE BASIS OF LIFE
CONSIST OF SERIOUSNESS AND FUN.
SO,
CHEERS TO LIFE!!!!!!!!!

CAME TO THIS SCHOOL,
MARIA'S PUBLIC SCHOOL,
AS A DUMD STUDENT,
I KNEW NOTHING,
NOT EVEN ENGLISH.
BUT THANKS TO THE LADY
THE LADY I ADMIRE THE MOST
MY DEAR DITTY MA'AM
THE TEACHER WHO TAUGHT ME ENGLISH.
MY SECOND CLASSTEACHER
HEALTHIEST OF THEM ALL,
NONE OTHER THAN RANJANA MA'AM
THAT INSPIRED ME TO LOVE ALL.
MY THIRD-THE LOVELIEST,
NEELAM IS HER NAME
WHO TAUGHT ME TO PLAY,
MY PRESENT FAVOURITE-
THE LUDO GAME.
LEENA MA'AM AS A CLASSTEACHER,
IS A GIFT FROM GOD,
LOOKS LIKE A CUTE LITTLE DOLL,

My first poetry book, Wind Rhymes; Poetry from the Breeze, is being published on Dec. 15th by a small, independant publishing company, ENNA Imprints!
Yesterday I received my two complimentary copies of the book and wow, what an exciting feeling! I am so proud of the work, many of the poems have been presented here on this site.
I also received notification that my book was registered with the National Library of Canada..something too cool for words!
Here is a little peek of the cover on my…

It does not surprise me
to find myself alone,
detached,
not as afraid of the corpses
he persistently attempts to exhume.
No memory haunts me now.
Perhaps I am only weary
of the vividly violent pleas and lies,
my patience drained and dessicated,
my senses dulled.
But his death is reassuringly permanent.
I am whole.
Not an amputated limb
needing to be reattached,
unshackled from the acidic existence
that tore and bled me dry.
I have closed his coffin
for the last time.

he sits on the roof
I watch his face filled with pain
deep inside his heart
remainings of shattered love
piercing terribly within.
his heart so tender
it cries but his tears unseen
they dried long ago
he pass his days collecting
pieces of his scattered heart.

IAM SAD
MY FRIEND SPEAKS TO ME IN MONOSYLLABLES
WHY? I KNOW NOT
IT NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE.
HE SAID JUST A ‘HELLO’ WHEN WE
MET LAST TIME AND THEN PARTED.
A HELLO IS HOLLOW
A HI IS A LIE
I NEED TO BE SPOKEN TO
AS OF YEST AS OF ETERNITY.
I AM RESERVED WHEN IT COMES TO
SPEAKING WITH AIR AND VOCAL CORD.
BUT, WHEN IT COMES TO BLACK AND WHITE
I BECOME PERENNIAL.
PERHAPS, I SHOULD HAVE MAINTAINED BREVITY,
AFTER ALL FAMILIARITY BREEDS CONTEMPT.
DID I CORRUPT YOUR SOLITUDE BY MY WORDS?
DID I TRESSPASS…

This poem I had written almost five years ago for a man that I had met on-line. He is an american. We chatted on line for about four years and we finally met 2007. We dated for a year with him coming to Thunder Bay where I live for visits. In 2008 he decided to stay here knowing that I couldn't go to the states for a couple reasons. We had gotten married. He was here for six months, then decided that he had to go back home to finish, unfinished business that I feel he should have done years ago…

By oldest daughter bought mea new journal one year for Christmas and on the cover of this journal are these words by Jeff Wolf
Don't quit when the tide is the lowest,
For it's just about to turn;
Don't quit over doubts and questions,
For there's something
you may learn.
Just wanted to share this poem with everyone here.

Love is near, love is far. It's for some and not for others. Given freely or given superfluously.
If I walk a mile in your shoes, will you walk a mile in mine. If I take that frown off your face and put a smile, will you still keep me in denial. Continue
